Sunday afternoon the volunteers at both Queensferry RNLI and Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat joined the UK Coastguard for a joint training exercise with the Prestwick based helicopter.
During this exercise lifeboat crews were able to practise winchman transfers. This requires excellent boat handling skills, and clear communication between the boat crew and winchman for a safe transfer.
